Dr. Marvil is a board-certified specialist in Periodontics and Dental Implants and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Marvil obtained her DMD from Harvard University in 2002, where she received the Quintessence Award for Excellence in Periodontology. She then specialized in Periodontics and Dental Implants at the Medical University of South Carolina, serving as chief resident and graduating in 2005. She graduated from Duke University with a Master of Arts in Teaching in 1996.
