Dr. Mendoza is a board-certified infectious disease specialist. He teaches clinical infectious diseases to medical students and physicians in training. His expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of serious infections, such as HIV, sepsis, pneumonia, necrotizing fasciitis, meningitis, COVID-19, endocarditis, and osteomyelitis. He is also experienced in infections that are difficult to diagnose or to treat, such as infections due to mycobacteria, multidrug resistant organisms, histoplasma and MRSA.

Dr. Mendoza has received important awards in recognition of his academic contributions, including a national award from the American Society for Microbiology. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and he has delivered presentations to national scientific conferences. Dr. Mendoza is committed to providing evidence-based and unbiased expert opinions.
