I am a social work expert witness for both plaintiff and defense (licensed in Massachusetts and serving as an expert nationwide).Â 
I will review your case, identify what happened, what should have happened and why it did not. Did a social worker fail to meet the standard of care or can the case be understood in terms of the resources and complex systems in which it occurred? Â 
Children's services has been the focus of my clinical social work career. Outpatient mental health settings, the schools, and especially state child protection agencies can be a minefield for social workers.Â 
It is because multiple agenciesÂ are so often involved in childrenâ€™s services that my more than forty years of experience in multiple settings and ability to formulate what happened in a case can be valuable to you. Because I am also a writer, I know how to present a case to the judge or jury. Most of the time, my report is less than three pages in length. Â 
State child protection (DCF) records are an invaluable source of information if you know what to look for and how to read these records. I am convinced that the records of many clients who have grown up in the foster care system should be reviewed for mitigating circumstances and potential information by a professional social worker.
