Description
Meredith DeKalb Miller examined hundreds of cases while employed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Laboratory Division, Questioned Documents Unit. Her experience at the FBI involved working a variety of cases including: contested wills, signatures, financial documents, historical cases, sports memorabilia fraud, ransom notes, threatening communications, secret writing, counterfeit cases, suicide notes, health care fraud, bank robbery notes, and product tampering cases Ms. Miller is now in private practice and offers comprehensive forensic document services designed to meet the needs of all clients including: handwriting and hand printing examinations, signature examinations, alterations, erasures, obliterations, forgeries, printing examinations, document dating, rubber stamps, shredded documents, typewriting examinations, photocopy and facsimile examinations, and document authentication.  Ms. Miller is court qualified testifying in several federal cases including the John Allen Muhammad case (SNIPER) in 2006. She successfully completed an intensive two-year training program at the FBI Laboratory in the field of Questioned Documents and was promoted to a Supervisory position in the Questioned Documents Unit. Meredith received a Master of Forensic Science M.F.S. from George Washington University (GWU) located in Washington D.C. She accepted a position as Adjunct Professorial Lecturer at GWU where she taught for two years in the graduate program of the Forensic Sciences Department. Ms. Miller employs a global approach to forensic document examinations and is currently working on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice, International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) to provide international training to forensic laboratories. Recent training focused on questioned document fundamentals in analysis, comparison, and evaluation of evidence in Pristina, Kosovo; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; Maputo, Mozambique; Mexico City and Puebla, Mexico, Algeria, and Bangladesh.
