Dr. Argumedo has conducted more than 100 assessments in her clinical and forensic career in a medico-legal and hospital treatment setting. She routinely conducts forensic IMEs for legal matters and administrative jurisdictions, review of records and testifies in a range of litigated and criminal matters, including personal injury and employment litigation. She assesses claims of Emotional Distress, Depression, Anxiety and symptoms with features of psychosis and PTSD. Dr. Argumedo also works with private and government employers to evaluate employees in a private, non-litigated setting, though Employment Litigation and claims of wrongful termination may be linked with Fitness for Duty policy established by employers. Workplace mental competency is a strong focus of Dr. Argumedo’s practice. She conducts Fitness for Duty, Competency, Employment Litigation and high security or safety-sensitive employee evaluations including first responders. Dr. Argumedo routinely conducts IMEs, review of records and testifies in a range of litigated and criminal matters, including personal injury. She assesses claims of emotional distress, Depression, Anxiety and symptoms with features of PTSD. Dr. Argumedo’s clinical practice is conducted at Rush Oak Park Hospital (Chicago area) conducting evaluations of suicidal, high risk or severe psychiatric disorders where treatment is urgent and a psychiatrist necessary to diagnose the presence of psychosis including Schizophrenia and Delusional Disorders. Dr. Argumedo is also Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Rush University Medical School/Rush University Medical Center as Assistant Professor in Psychiatry. She teaches psychiatry residents in topics related to psychiatry and the law, and psychiatry in medicine.
