Dr. Chiodo has served as the Medical Director and Manager of Medical and Public Health Services for the Detroit.  Dr. Chiodo was the chief physician in charge of all medical and public health services provided by the City of Detroit to over one million people living and working in Detroit during the time of his service. This was a position of significant public responsibility where at the time he had the direct telephone number to the United States White House in the event that he needed to contact the President concerning a public health emergency in the City of Detroit. Dr. Chiodo has the following professional education: Medical Doctor: Wayne State University School of Medicine Juris Doctor: Wayne State University Law School Master of Public Health: Harvard University School of Public Health Master of Science Biomedical Engineering: Wayne State University College of Engineering Master of Science in Threat Management (biological, chemical, and radiological defense): University of Chicago Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences with Specialization in Toxicology: Wayne State University Master of Business Administration with a concentration in economics: University of Chicago Booth School of Business Master of Science in Evidence Based Health Care (evidence based medicine): University of Oxford Master of Science in Experimental and Translational Therapeutics (drug, vaccine, and medical device development): University of Oxford  Dr. Chiodo is board certified in internal medicine, occupational medicine, and in public health and general preventive medicine. Dr. Chiodo is board certified in the engineering specialty of industrial hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (C.I.H.). Dr. Chiodo has served as an assistant professor of internal medicine, family medicine, and public health at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Chiodo has served as an adjunct professor of industrial hygiene and toxicology at Wayne State University. Dr. Chiodo served as an adjunct professor of law at John Marshall Law School and Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Dr. Chiodo has been honored by the Wayne State University College of Engineering as a distinguished biomedical engineer. Dr. Chiodo has served as the President of the Michigan Industrial Hygiene Society.  Dr. Chiodo is a certified medical review officer which is the designation required by the United States Department of Transportation for a physician to review drug and alcohol test results. Due to his long standing interest in building related disease including mold, Dr. Chiodo has maintained a residential builder’s license in the State of Michigan since 1991. Dr Chiodo is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan, Illinois, New York, and Florida. He is licensed to practice medicine in Michigan and Illinois. He has served as an attorney pro hac vice in litigation in California, South Carolina, and Florida. Dr. Chiodo has served as the Chairman of the Environmental Litigation and Administrative Practice Committee of the State Bar of Michigan. Dr. Chiodo has served as the Co-Chairperson Health Care and Biopharma Roundtable of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
