Description
Dr. Greene is a Board-Certified Women's Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Lymphology Association of North America (CLT-LANA). Dr. Greene has over 18 years of clinical practice experience in both outpatient and acute care rehabilitation. She is a practicing senior-level physical therapist at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Greene works as a legal physical therapy consultant for both plaintiff and defense. Dr. Greene has expertise in acute care rehabilitation in post-operative populations, such as spinal fusions, external fixations, amputations, total joint replacement, fractures, trauma, and falls. She also has extensive experience with traumatic brain injury, dementia, stroke, neurological disorders, seizures, Parkinson's disease, ALS, Lewy Body Dementia, neuropathy, brain tumors, and spinal disorders. She regularly evaluates and prescribes durable medical equipment for patient safety, assesses fall risk, and makes recommendations to the medical team for patient discharge. She has advanced training and expertise in musculoskeletal pelvic floor dysfunction, pre-and post-partum rehabilitation, and complex lymphedema populations. She was a postdoctoral residency co-director and a residency mentor for several years, instructing physical therapists in the specialty of women's health. She has worked in rehabilitating pelvic floor dysfunction following transvaginal or transabdominal mesh procedures for pelvic organ prolapse. She has also worked with patients who suffer from functional impairments following mastectomy, breast implant illness, and breast reconstruction. These unique clinical skills can be an asset to attorneys working with mass tort litigation in mesh surgeries and breast implant illness when assessing the functional impairments in patients. Furthermore, she has advanced training in pelvic floor rehabilitation following vaginal delivery musculoskeletal trauma when forceps or a vacuum is used and rehabilitation following cesarean deliveries, scar tissue, and/or diastasis rectus (abdominal hernia/separation). In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Greene also worked in therapy reviewing, conducting medical documentation reviews and claim reviews for both pediatric and adult rehabilitation populations. Her skills include medical documentation reviews, whether physical therapy standards of care were met, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, and HIPAA compliance. She can offer insight into the legitimacy of physical restraints, general integumentary integrity, ergonomic workplace assessments, quality and risk-management assessments, and disabled patient/client advocacy in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
