A Board-certified neurological surgeon with over 22 years of clinical practice, Dr. McKalip has extensive experience in surgical and non-surgical management of spine, peripheral nerve, and brain disorders. Dr. McKalip takes a very conservative approach to surgery and finds non-surgical options generally provide the lowest cost and greatest benefit to patients.  He prefers to reserve advanced surgical therapies for cases in which they provide clear benefit to the patient. Dr. McKalip has been trained in medical and legal records review and independent medical evaluation by SEAK, Inc. He has expensive experience in Workers Compensation evaluations of patients who present after personal injury incidents. He served on the Quality Improvement Workgroup of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and on the Board of the Florida Medical Association and has served as President of the Florida Neurosurgical Society.  He is currently an active member of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgery.
