Description
Michael Prybicien is currently employed as an athletic trainer at Passaic High School, large Group 5 High School with over 3100 students and 1500 student athletes, an athletic training adjunct faculty member at William Paterson University and a clinical preceptor for two universities. He is also the Vice President of Operations for Sport Safety International, an education company responsible for the education of parents, coaches, athletes, and health care providers on a variety of topics. Michael is also an NFL Concussion Spotter. Michael is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and holds Bachelor's degrees in both Health Education and Exercise and Sports Science. He also earned a Master of Arts in Sports Administration Teaching, with a concentration Health Education from Kent State University. Michael is a certified and licensed athletic trainer. Michael has received several prestigious awards for his work in the field. He is a recipient of the National Athletic Trainers' Association's Service Award as well as the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey (ATSNJ) Distinguished Service Award. Additionally, he has been inducted into both the Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey (ATSNJ) Hall of Fame and the New Jersey Scholastic Coaches' Association Hall of Fame. Michael is active within the National Athletic Trainers' Association, and currently serves on the Secondary School Committee, AT Educationalist Community Board, and the ATCares committee. He also serves on the Consumer Advisory Committee at Hackensack University Medical Center's, Diabetes Molly Center, and is a Board Member of the University of South Florida Educational Initiative on Sickle Cell Trait. Michael has authored numerous online education courses, book chapters, abstract articles and journal articles specializing in his areas of expertise.
