Barry Mills MD PhD is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with extensive experience as a clinical psychiatrist and expert witness.

Dr. Mills is a former faculty member of Harvard Medical School and the Residency Training Director of the University of Texas Dell Medical School. He has been honored with fellowship awards from the American College of Psychiatrists and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. Dr. Mills has been a Harvard Faculty Teaching Award nominee and an Editor for the Harvard Review of Psychiatry.

Dr. Mills has served as an expert witness in state and federal matters for defense, plaintiff and prosecution. He has extensive experience in correctional matters, including serving as a Clinical Director for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), Chair of the TDCJ Suicide Prevention Taskforce and as an expert witness on the Adam Walsh Act (42 U.S.C. §16911).

Dr. Mills is adept at communicating complex clinical information based in science to non-clinical professionals in a practical and engaging manner. He is a respected member of multiple professional organizations and has been elected to leadership positions by his colleagues. He is a member in good standing of the American Medical Association and American Psychiatric Association. Dr Mills is licensed to practice in Texas, California, New York and Alaska.
