Mr. Malanga’s combination of forensic fire and explosion analysis expertise combined with his fire protection engineering background makes him uniquely qualified to investigate and reconstruct fire origin, spread and damage. As a forensic fire scientist, Mr. Malanga is adept at investigating and reconstructing major, complex and mass casualty fire and explosion incidents. The World Trade Center Explosion (1993), One New York Plaza Explosion (2001), The Station Nightclub Fire (2003), Miami International Airport Jet Fuel Facility Fire (2010) and the Swissair Flight 111 Fire and Crash (1998) are among his many high profile cases. An expert in fire protection and life safety systems, Mr. Malanga’s experience includes responsibility for more than 900 industrial, commercial and transit facilities.
