Ernest P. Chiodo, M.D., J.D., M.P.H., M.S., M.B.A., C.I.H. is a physician, an attorney, a Certified Industrial Hygienist (C.I.H), toxicologist, and a biomedical (biomechanical) engineer. Dr. Chiodo received his medical, law, and biomedical engineering degrees from Wayne State University, his Master of Public Health from Harvard University, his Master of Science in Threat Response Management (biological, chemical, and radiological defense) from the University of Chicago, his Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences with Specialization in Industrial Toxicology from Wayne State University, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in economics from the University of Chicago, and a Master of Science in Evidence Based Health Care (evidence based medicine) from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Dr. Chiodo is board certified in the specialties of internal medicine, occupational and environmental medicine (industrial toxicology), and public health and general preventive medicine (epidemiology, biostatistics, and population risk assessment and control). He has served as the Medical Director of the City of Detroit and was the chief physician in charge of public health measures designed to protect over 1 million persons living and working in the City of Detroit. Dr. Chiodo has been elected to full membership into the Society of Toxicology. Dr. Chiodo has also been inducted into the Engineering Hall of Fame at Wayne State University, College of Engineering, as a distinguished engineer.
