I have been a Registered Nurse since 2008 and have worked in the Operating Room since 2007. My experience ranges from Level 1 Trauma Center to outpatient surgery center. I began my training in the operating room at the Medical College of Georgia during a summer externship. My training and experience come from the more than 11 years I spent at the busy academic medical center where I cared for patients undergoing surgery as well as trained new operating room nurses. I currently work for Emory Healthcare in the Ambulatory Surgery Center and continue to provide high quality patient care.
I have had my Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certification since 2011 and have been a member of AORN (Association of PeriOperative Nurses) for more than 10 years. I have vast circulating experience across many surgical specialties but my passion is within General Surgery and Surgical Oncology.
