John Villines has dedicated his adult life to security management and crime prevention.
He started in the security field as a patrol officer over 30 years ago and quickly rose through the ranks into management positions.
Appointed by the Governor to serve on the Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies; elected by his colleagues as Chair of that Board from 2004 to 2007 and again in 2010.
He holds certifications from two international entities: one in Security Management and the other in Crime Prevention.
A former POST-certified instructor for advanced and specialized training of police officers, he maintains current board certification as an instructor for security and investigations.
Mr. Villines developed the Crime Prevention Specialist training program for the State of Georgia and authored a portion of the training text used by the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners.
As a security consultant, Mr. Villines has provided services to private industry, the United States Government, law enforcement agencies, community organizations and others.
