Robert Brown, MD is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. Dr. Brown received his medical degree from the University of Nevada. He completed his post graduate training residency in anesthesiology and pain medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Houston and fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia at Children's Hospital in Denver Colorado. Dr. Brown had the privilege of training under Prithvi raj, MD during his pain medicine fellowship.
Dr. Brown is currently a full-time office-based interventional pain management specialist providing injection therapy with Flororoscopy and ultrasound guidance he performs full-spectrum pain injections to the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine he performs minimally invasive surgeries including spinal cord stimulation trials, kyphoplasty, MILD, and Vertiflex procedures. He is medical director of medication management of chronic pain conditions including opiates in his present clinic. Dr. Brown has been medical Director of hospital-based multidisciplinary pain clinics for over 20 years in two different hospital systems.
Dr. Brown has over 25 years of medical malpractice expert experience, defense and plaintiff, and receives less than 10% of his professional income from this source. He has provided expert opinion, case review and testimony for federal and state organizations including the DEA, United States attorneys office, and Colorado medical board. Dr. Brown has been a consultant in physician reviewer for the center for personalized education for professionals, CPEP, providing clinical competence assessments for over 15 years.
