Dr. Ahmed Zaafran is a highly experienced, board-certified Anesthesiologist practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. He recently held the post of assistant professor of anesthesiology (affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine. He reviews anesthesia-related cases for the California Medical Board and is immediate past director of QI/QA of anesthesiology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California, where he oversaw the review of hundreds of anesthesia-related cases. He has extensive experience in expert witness testimony, including case file reviews and deposition. He is the former director of GI Endoscopic Anesthesia at Stanford University Hospitals and Clinics. He has extensive academic and advocacy experience, including representation of the California Society of Anesthesiologists as an Alternate Delegate. He conducts regular live webinars on medical-related matters and has presented at world-renowned academic institutions nationally.
