Dr. Zal Phiroz is a recognized supply chain expert; having served as an expert witness in over 20 cases, including expert testimony in connection with several Fortune 500 parties. In addition to several peer reviewed publications, Dr. Phiroz's latest book (Perspectives of Supply Chain Competitiveness) was released in June 2020.
Dr. Phiroz has held academic appointments at Harvard, USC, MSU, UCSD; and provides expert witness testimony on areas involving supply chain (including manufacturing standards, quality control, product testing, packaging, inventory valuation product recalls, and consumer behavior patterns).
As a practitioner, Dr. Phiroz has held senior appointments at Procter & Gamble, managing national projects in partnership with retailers (Wal-Mart, Target), and overseeing projects on billion dollar P&G brands (Iams, Tide). Various supply chain initiatives implemented by Dr. Phiroz relating to consumer behavior, demand simulation and manufacturing scheduling are still actively in place.
Dr. Phiroz holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management (UCT), along with an MBA (WSU), and two degrees in Computer Science (UW).
